Islamic Studies for New Muslims: A Simple Roadmap

Welcome to Islam. You might feel overwhelmed by the amount of information. Our New Muslim Program is designed to give you clarity, focusing on the essentials first, step-by-step.

Take it Slow

The Concept of Tadarruj (Gradualism)

The Quran was revealed over 23 years. Why rush to learn everything in a week? Islam prioritizes steady, gradual progress. Trying to learn Arabic, Fiqh, and memorization all at once leads to burnout.

Our program acts as a filter, teaching you only what is Fard Ayn (individually obligatory) first, ensuring your foundation is solid before moving to advanced topics.

Your Journey

The 4-Step Foundation

Step 1: Faith

Aqeedah (Belief)

Understanding who Allah is (Tawheed), His attributes, and the pillars of faith. This strengthens your heart against doubts.

Step 2: Worship

Fiqh of Purification & Salah

Practical learning: How to perform Wudu (ablution) and the steps of the 5 daily prayers correctly.

Step 3: Connection

Reading the Quran

Learning to read the Arabic script so you can recite the words of Allah in your prayer, even if just short chapters.

Step 4: Love

Seerah (Life of Prophet)

Studying the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to understand his character, mercy, and how he dealt with challenges.

Why a Teacher? It is dangerous to learn Islam solely from Google. You need a qualified mentor to explain context, answer personal questions, and correct misconceptions.
New Muslim FAQs

You Are Not Alone

Do I need to change my name?

Generally, no. Unless your name has a bad meaning (like “Servant of an Idol”), you can keep your given name. Islam respects your identity.

Is Arabic mandatory?

Only for the ritual prayer (Salah). You can make Dua (supplication) in your own language. Allah understands all languages.

How do I tell my family?

This is delicate. We provide counseling sessions on how to navigate family relationships with wisdom and kindness after converting.
